Strunk was found shot to death in the area of Evergreen and Haehnlen streets, just after midnight on Saturday, July 16, by Harrisburg police, as the department stated in the release and as identified by the family and previous court records.

15 years before this shooting, his father, Jonas Jacob Strunk III, 35, was killed in the same area — just half a block away— in Harrisburg on Sunday, July 22, according to his family and his obituary

“He was a beautiful person and genuinely cared about everyone,” Strunk’s brother Khalil Allen wrote on a GoFundMe page. “Everything that we receive we will use for his funeral expenses to lay him to rest and to give some type of temporary help for his 3 children.”

He is survived by his family, partner, and children: 1 boy and 2 girls, according to social media.

His funeral will be held on July 24, according to his sister Ashley Trinta, additional information was not released.

Strunk IV was released from the Dauphin County Prison on June 23 drug manufacture/intent to deliver/possession charges for a $5,000 surety bond with a preliminary hearing scheduled before Magisterial District Judge Paul T. Zozos at 9:30 a.m. on August 28, court records show.

Police continue to investigate this deadly shooting. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Harrisburg Police, at 717-558-6900.
